Michael Owen'southward girl has hit back at claims her famous male parent bankrolled her new bikini business, insisting 'I'm doing this off my own back.'

Gemma Owen, xviii, launched her debut OG Beachwear collection last week featuring sizzling shots of the fashionista, who is likewise Team GB dressage champion, modelling bikinis.

She received mostly positive feedback, nevertheless some trolls claimed Gemma is but 'another rich footballer's child living off their daddy'southward money' – an accusation she vehemently denies.

Speaking to MailOnline in her first e'er interview, Gemma said: 'I get negative comments and nasty messages a lot.

'In my dressage, if I'one thousand doing well, I get comments like "yous're but doing well because daddy bought y'all an expensive horse" and and then with me trying to ready my own business organisation I get "you're using daddy'south coin."

'It'southward constant only I want to go far clear to people that with the business organisation side of things it hasn't been an open wallet.

'I got given some coin for my birthday and that was my upkeep. I rapidly ran out of that and there are and then many more things that I want to practise with the brand just I am going to have to wait now until the money comes back in.

'I am extremely lucky merely I would say my dad has really been… not tight, only he's been quite tough. He said this is your upkeep and I'grand non funding this.'

Gemma is the eldest of four children former England and Liverpool star Michael, 42, shares with married woman Louise.

She is now the aforementioned age the ex-Three Lions star was when he scored his famous solo goal confronting Argentina in the 1998 World Cup, which launched him onto the global scene.

Gemma says Michael – who starred on the recent series of The Masked Singer every bit Doughnuts – has always encouraged her with dressage, given his honey of horses, but she says her mum Louise has been more involved with her new business.

Cheshire-based Gemma ventured into fashion after reflecting on her dressage career, fearing the sport may not support her financially in the long-term.

She says: 'I would say that all through my school life, I always had the thought that I wanted dressage to exist my career, and how I wanted to make my money, but it was only really the last few years of school that I properly thought most information technology.

'I thought if I don't do dressage, what else do I want to do? What am I passionate about? What else do I dear doing? That's how it came about, and I tried to turn that into a business idea.'

And starring in her own entrada, modelling some of her collection, was a thrill too – even though she had limited experience in front end of the camera.

Gemma added: 'I've had to be more involved than I initially idea because of the budget really.

'It's turned out that fashion. I was actually nervous about it at outset, I have never modelled or annihilation before, everything is new to me.

'Even that in itself, modelling, it was so scary just information technology's all good. With a photographer that I have never met before – getting into a bikini and getting your photograph taken… I was like 'ah okay.'

She says: 'I spotter Beloved Isle every summertime but right now it'south not something I would consider doing considering I am not looking for love at the moment.

'Some of the challenges on Dear Isle, they're quite out at that place. I'm non sure I would be able to kiss x boys in a row but I practice think it's a great bear witness.

'Only boys aren't on the cards right now and my dad wouldn't be very happy at all if I came back and said 'I'm going on Love Island.'

'I would demand to await until I've moved out!'
